KALYAN: The Mumbai unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), with assistance from Kalyan Taluka police, arrested a 35-year-old woman from Titwala and seized MDMA pills or ecstasy worth over Rs 5 crore, officials said on Sunday. According to police, the accused was found in possession of over 2.3 kg of MDMA. The NCB team conducted a late-night raid on Saturday in a Titwala flat where the woman was residing. The Anti-Narcotics Cell seized a consignment of 5,000 pills.The action follows the arrest of a previous accused on April 15. During interrogation, officials received leads about the woman allegedly being involved in supplying narcotics. Based on this information, the NCB coordinated with Kalyan Taluka police to trace her location. The NCB has taken the woman into custody and is conducting further investigation to identify the larger drug network and supply chain involved, officials added.
